As you can see, some of the cross tube is visible underneath the vehicle. It's gonna be a Class II. It's gonna be an 1-1/4 Inch by 1-1/4 inch. Gonna have a 1/2 inch hitch pin hole. It's gonna have a plate style safety chain loops. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2003 Pontiac Vibe - Curt- Video

Today on our 2003 Pontiac Vibe, we'll be installing the Curt, 1 and a quarter inch receiver tube hitch, part number C12221. This is what our hitch will look like once installed. Next well go ahead and give you a couple measurements, to assist to selecting accessories for your new hitch. Such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From of the hitch pin hole, to the outermost edge of the bumper, is 4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground, is 10 and a half inches. Now go ahead with the installation. Today on our 2005 Pontiac Vibe, well be installing the Hidden hitch, part number 60898. This is what our hitch will look like once its installed. Next well go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is two inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 9-3/4 inches; this will assist you with selecting accessories such as a bike rack or a cargo carrier. Now lets go ahead with the installation, first before we can install the hitch well go ahead and clean out the weld nuts or attachment points, there will be a total of six attachment points, three on each side. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2009 Pontiac Vibe C12228- Video

Today, on this 2009 Pontiac Vibe, we will be installing Curt hitch part number 12228. Okay, we are underneath the vehicle and we are looking at the drivers side frame rail. As you can see here at the end of the frame , we have got two existing weld nuts. Those are going to provide our two attaching points on the drivers side for our trailer hitch. We will be attaching the hitch to the weld nuts using the 12mm bolts and conical tooth washer. And on the passenger side, we will be using the same two weld nuts and same bolt washer combination.
